Villa Siam and Spa

Most rooms at Villa Siam and Spa have air conditioning, and several have a valley view, a balcony or terrace, or a separate living room. Family rooms sleep up to four guests, and the Japanese Family Room sleeps four on futons. Bunk beds appear in the family rooms, and one of them offers a choice of bed set-ups.

Several rooms include a private bathroom with a shower or a separate shower and bathtub, and the rooms have hair dryers and cleaning products. Kitchenware, microwaves and refrigerators appear in a number of rooms, and complimentary tea and free bottled water are provided in some of them. The property also has a garden and a shared kitchen for guests.

Tours can be arranged, and there is an airport transfer and a taxi service. The property has a garden, a convenience store, a gift and souvenir shop and 24-hour security, along with daily housekeeping, ironing and laundry services. Kids meals are available for younger guests. The garden and the kitchen are on site, and family rooms are available for up to four guests.

Villa Siam and Spa is on Dinso Road in the Khaosan area, in the historic centre of Bangkok where the old city lies beside the Chao Phraya river. Khaosan Road, a lively strip known for its street-food stalls, guesthouses and evening crowds, is close by, while the lanes behind it are quieter, with small shops and older houses. The main temples of the old city are close to the hotel, and the streets around it are easy to explore on foot.

Khaosan Road is 500 m from the hotel, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Phra Kaew) is 950 m away. The Grand Palace, which the temple is part of, is 1.1 km away. Across the river, Wat Arun, a temple with a tall central spire, is 1.8 km away. Sam Yot MRT Station is also close, and Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi are the two airports, both well outside the city centre.

A full day can start at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, cross the river to Wat Arun in the afternoon, and finish back on Khaosan Road. The Jim Thompson House, a former home of the Thai silk entrepreneur, is a museum a little further away. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest weekend markets in the city, is a longer trip across town.
