Chalong Beach is 1.2 km away, on the shore of the bay, and the Chalong Pier ferry terminal is 2.3 km away. The Phuket Big Buddha, a large white statue on a hill, is 3.2 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, known as Wat Chalong, is 4.4 km away; it is one of the most revered temples on the island. Phuket International Airport is 33.9 km away, and the island is linked to the mainland by road, so the last part of the trip to the villa is by car or taxi.

A good day can start early at the temples and the Big Buddha, then continue to the beaches of Kata and Karon in the afternoon. In the monsoon months the sea can be rough and boats to the islands are sometimes cancelled, so a boat trip is best planned with some flexibility.
