Limestone cliffs rise above the bay, framing the water and the long curve of the shore.

The Ao Nang Night Market is 700 m away, and Railay, a peninsula of limestone cliffs and beaches reached by longtail boat from Ao Nang, is 4.3 km away. The Tiger Cave Temple (Wat Tham Suea) is a hillside temple complex with a cave shrine, 14.9 km from the property, and it is set well away from the beach strip.

A typical day could begin on the sand at Noppharathara, continue with a longtail ride out to Railay, and end at the Ao Nang Night Market in the evening. Krabi International Airport is 19.2 km away, and the Ao Nang Beach Pier is the departure point for boats to the islands, so the boat trips are easy to join from the town, and the same pier serves the boats to Poda Island and Tup Island.
