Kamala is a village on Phuket's Andaman coast, quieter than Patong, the island's busiest beach resort area, which lies 4.5 km away. Villa Dalaa 2 is 970 m from the beach, in a residential neighbourhood where local shops and small temples are close by, and the sea can be reached on foot. Life here is more local, with a few shops and food stalls close to the village roads, and the pace in the evenings is calmer than in the resort strips further along the coast.

Kamala Mosque is close by, and the Kamala seafood & fruit market and the Kamala Night Market are nearby for fresh produce and local food. Phuket FantaSea, a large theme park with cultural shows and a dinner programme, is 1.2 km away, and it is a popular evening out for visitors to the island.

A car is practical, since the villa has free parking and Phuket is linked to the mainland by bridge, so the wider island is easy to reach by road. A good day can combine Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the island's most important Buddhist temples, about 12.2 km away, with Big Buddha Phuket, the large white statue on a hilltop 13.4 km away, and an evening at the night market.
