Getting around is simple on foot or by taxi, and river ferries run from piers a short distance away.

A good day starts at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, then continues to Wat Phra Chetuphon, known as Wat Pho, with its reclining Buddha. Crossing the river to Wat Arun by ferry is a pleasant way to end the afternoon before returning to Khaosan Road. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the best-known markets in the city, is a longer trip across town.
