Nai Harn Beach is 2.9 km away, a sandy bay that is one of the main beaches in southern Phuket, and Kata and Karon beaches are further along the coast. Rawai Beach sits beside the Rawai fishing village, where the Rawai fish market sells fresh seafood and Rawai Pier serves as a ferry terminal. Big Buddha Phuket, a large white statue on a hill, is 4.3 km away, and Chaithararam Temple, better known as Wat Chalong and one of the island's most revered temples, is 6.2 km away. Phuket International Airport is 35.6 km away, and the Phuket Seashell Museum is close by. Most of the places nearby are reached by road, so a car or taxi is useful for the day.

A full day could start at Wat Chalong, continue at Nai Harn Beach for a swim and finish with seafood at the Rawai fish market. Kata and Karon beaches offer a second option for the afternoon, and the Big Buddha makes a good stop for a view over the hills.
