Phaya Thai 2 Hospital is also in the neighbourhood, and the streets nearby have everyday shops.

Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in the world, is about 3 km away and draws crowds to its stalls at weekends. Siam Paragon and the MBK Center are in the central shopping area, and Jim Thompson House, a former teak residence of the American silk entrepreneur, is also nearby. Both can be reached on the Skytrain network.

The Grand Palace, about 6.1 km away, is the starting point for a day of temples along the Chao Phraya river, including Wat Arun on the opposite bank. A morning there could be followed by Chatuchak in the afternoon, or a stroll around Siam. The Sanam Pao BTS station, 50 m from the hotel, gives access to the Skytrain, and Don Mueang International Airport, about 17 km off, is the closest airport.
