A day could start with the markets and museums of Phuket Town and continue to Wat Chalong by car, since the temple is too far to walk. The Phuket Town Local Bus Station (Terminal 1) is 1.2 km away, and Phuket International Airport is 27.7 km from the hotel, so the town works well as a base for a few days of sightseeing around the island. Evenings in the old quarter are quieter than in the beach areas, and a walk past the shophouses and the night market is an easy way to end the day.
