Varmtel

The rooms at Varmtel have king, queen or single beds, and most of them have a private bathroom, a hair dryer and a flat-screen TV with satellite and cable channels. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Two rooms measure 45 m², and a 38 m² room has three single beds. Several 25 m² rooms have a king bed or two single beds, along with a walk-in shower. Air conditioning is in most rooms.

Varmtel has free Wi-Fi in all rooms and in public areas, a 24-hour front desk, an elevator, luggage storage and safety deposit boxes. Express check-in and check-out, daily housekeeping, an ironing service and a concierge are also available, and there are facilities for disabled guests.

For food, there is a bar, a coffee shop and a shared kitchen, and a continental breakfast is served. Tours can be arranged, a taxi service and a shuttle service are offered, and there is an airport transfer. The hotel has a garden and a terrace.

Some rooms have a mini bar, free bottled water, a closet and soundproofing. Ticket services and cash withdrawal are also available.

Varmtel stands on Charoennakorn 13 in Klongsan, on the Bangkok bank of the Chao Phraya River. The area is a mix of temples, mosques and river piers, and the river shapes daily life here, with ferry boats running from Taksin Pier, only a few hundred metres from the hotel. Wat Suwan, a temple, is close by as well.

Charoen Nakhon BTS station is 500 m away, so the Skytrain gives access to the rest of the city. Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex with a night market, is 2.1 km away, and Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn on the opposite bank, is 3.3 km away. The Grand Palace is 3.7 km away, and it houses the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, within the royal palace complex.

A day could start with a river crossing to Wat Arun, then go on to the Grand Palace, and end the evening at Asiatique by the river. Khaosan Road, the street of bars, street food and guesthouses, is 4.3 km away. The Chatuchak Weekend Market is farther out. Both airports are a longer ride away from the hotel, and Varmtel offers an airport transfer for the trip.
