Phrom Phong BTS station is 500 m away and Thong Lo BTS station is 650 m, so the Sukhumvit line is the quickest way to reach the shopping and business districts. Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum showcasing Thai silk, is 5.4 km away, and the Siam Paragon shopping centre is 4.7 km. Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex on the Chao Phraya, is 7.9 km away. Further north, Chatuchak Weekend Market is a large weekend market, while the historic temples of old Bangkok, such as Wat Pho with its reclining Buddha, are a longer trip.

A day could start at Jim Thompson House, continue to Siam Paragon and return by BTS to Phrom Phong. Chatuchak Weekend Market is better kept for a separate morning on a weekend, and Asiatique works well as an evening stop by the river. The BTS is the simplest way to move around this part of Sukhumvit.
