Siam Paragon, with its aquarium, and MBK Center are the best-known malls in the area. The Erawan Shrine, a Hindu shrine at the Ratchaprasong junction, is a short walk away, and Jim Thompson House, a teak-house museum devoted to Thai silk, is a short taxi ride. The Grand Palace is 5.8 km away and is reached by taxi, and the temples of the old city, including Wat Arun on the Chao Phraya river, are close to it.

Suvarnabhumi Airport is 23 km away and Don Mueang International Airport is 20.4 km away, so the hotel's airport transfer is a practical way to start or end a trip. A good day could start at the Erawan Shrine, continue with the Siam malls, and then go by taxi to the old city before returning to the hotel's pool or spa. For a weekend outing, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is a longer trip across town.
