A day here can start with the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, continue to Wat Arun on the riverbank, and end on Khaosan Road in the evening. For a quieter stop, the Pipit Banglamphu History Museum and the Bangkok National Museum offer more of the city's history, and the Coin Museum is also nearby. Many of the sights along the river and in the old city are reached on foot or by boat from the nearby piers, so a single day can cover several neighbourhoods without a long journey.
