Those who prefer a local feel to a resort strip will find the village calmer than Patong.

Hua Beach is about 500 m away, and Kamala Beach, with its sand and the village around it, is 1.5 km from the apartment. Baan Kamala Temple, a Buddhist temple in the village, and the Kamala Mosque are nearby, and the Kamala seafood and fruit market is in the same area.

A day could combine Kamala Beach with a trip to Patong, 5.4 km away, for the resort strip and Bangla Road in the evening. Bangla Road, Patong's lively street of bars and shops, is the best-known place for an evening out on the island. Phuket FantaSea, a large cultural theme park with Thai shows, is also an option for an afternoon, and Big Buddha Phuket, a large statue on a hilltop, is 13.9 km away. Phuket International Airport is 19.2 km from the apartment.
