A good day could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market, 6.8 km away in the north of Bangkok and busiest at the weekend, and end at the Grand Palace, 7.4 km away, with Wat Arun across the Chao Phraya river. The Skytrain connects the hotel with Siam and the central shopping streets, while the Grand Palace and Wat Arun sit on the banks of the Chao Phraya river, the city's main waterway, and make a good half-day together.
