From Phrom Phong the BTS runs to Siam, where the big shopping malls are concentrated, so the city's main shopping area is an easy trip by train.

A day of sightseeing could include the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, a temple on the Chao Phraya riverbank, and then the Chatuchak Weekend Market, a large market best known for its weekend trade. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 20.5 km away, so allow extra time for the trip from there.
