Turtle Tales-Mafueang

The units at Turtle Tales-Mafueang each measure 160 m², have two bedrooms and one bathroom, and sleep up to four guests. Air conditioning is in every unit, so the rooms stay cool after a day on the beach or in the surrounding countryside.

Linens, toiletries, complimentary tea and instant coffee are provided in the rooms. Bed set-ups can be arranged in more than one way, and a sea view is part of one of the units.

Thai Mueang is a district of Phang Nga province on the Andaman coast of southern Thailand, a landscape of hills, rubber groves and small villages. The district is more about sea, forest and quiet rural roads than about nightlife, and the pace of life is slow. Sea and forest are close to one another here, so a single day can cover both.

Thai Mueang Beach is the nearest stretch of sea, 950 m from the property. Inland, the Khao Lamppe-had Thalmuang National Park lies 2.9 km away, with the Thonplai Waterfall nearby, and the San Chao Leng San Keng temple is 1.7 km away, a local place of worship in the surrounding countryside. A waterfall and a national park make a natural half-day outing from the property. With free parking on site, a car is the simplest way to reach these sights.

A good day starts with a walk on Thai Mueang Beach, followed by a drive to Khao Nayak Beach, 6.5 km away, and then a visit to the national park. The Elephant Family attraction in Ban Khao Noi is 4.4 km away, in the village of the same name. After a day out, the garden and the BBQ grill at the property are an easy way to end the day.
