The Bang Yi Khan MRT station is 600 m from the hotel, and the Royal Barges National Museum, which shows Thailand's royal barges, is 1.1 km away. Wat Bang Yi Khan, a pagoda temple, is also nearby. The Grand Palace is 2.6 km away on the opposite bank, and Wat Arun, the temple with its tall central prang, is 3.2 km away on this side of the river. Phra Pin Klao Pier is 1.2 km away for river boats.

A good day could begin at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, which sit together in the old city, then return to Thonburi for Wat Arun and the Royal Barges National Museum in the afternoon. Ferries from the pier are a practical way to cross the river between the two banks. Khaosan Road, a lively backpacker street with bars and street food, is an easy place to finish the evening.
