Tuan Homestay

The accommodation is a home with air conditioning, a private entrance and a full kitchen, and it has three bathrooms. Satellite and cable television, a hair dryer, toiletries and fresh linens are part of the equipment, and instant coffee and tea are provided free of charge.

Up to 15 guests can stay, and the bedding comes as a choice of set-ups, including a king bed and a sofa bed. With its own entrance and a full kitchen, the home is a self-contained place to stay.

The homestay has a free on-site car park and a kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator and freezer, plus dishes and dining utensils. Guests can use a washer, and the property has 24-hour security and a balcony or terrace.

Tuan Homestay sits in Narathiwat, the provincial town on Thailand's southern Gulf coast, close to the Malaysian border. The Malaysian border lies near the province, and that cross-border influence shows in the town's daily life. The area around the homestay feels local rather than touristy, with village communities close by and a quieter pace than the resort areas further north.

The night market is the closest sight to the homestay, just 300 m from the homestay, and the Masjid Istikla mosque is 2.1 km away. Ao Manao Khao Tanyong National Park, 4.3 km off, offers a natural break from town and is the main option for a day out beyond the streets.

A simple plan is to start with the night market in the evening, then head out to the national park the next morning. Free on-site parking makes it easy to keep a car at the homestay for the trip, and the town is a comfortable base for exploring the south.
