Tiny Island Lake Lodge

The rooms at Tiny Island Lake Lodge include a luxury A-frame suite, king and queen rooms, and cottages, with several rooms facing the lake. Some rooms add a balcony or terrace or a sofa bed beside the main bed, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

Rooms sleep two, three or four guests depending on the room, and bedding runs from single beds to queen and king beds, with sofa beds in a few rooms. The Kanchanaphisek Memorial Garden is 750 m away, and the Lak Song MRT station is 4.2 km away for trips into the city. Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, stands on the riverbank 12.2 km away, and the Taling Chan Floating Market, where vendors sell from boats on the canals, is 9.9 km away. The Grand Palace, on the eastern bank of the Chao Phraya, is 12.5 km away, so visits to the old city usually involve crossing the river.

A good day could start at the Taling Chan market and Wat Arun on the Thonburi side, then cross to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha inside the palace complex. The Temple of the Emerald Buddha sits within the same grounds as the Grand Palace, so one visit covers both. Closer to the lodge, the park and gardens offer an unhurried walk, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market is farther out, better saved for a full day.
