The street mixes residential buildings with small shops, tailors and convenience stores, and the Sukhumvit corridor is one of the main routes for the Skytrain and the subway.

The Asok BTS station is 250 m away and the Sukhumvit MRT station is closer still, so the Skytrain and the subway can take you to the Siam shopping district, where Siam Paragon is 2.9 km from the hotel. Jim Thompson House, a teak-built museum with a collection of Thai art, is close to Siam, and Chatuchak Weekend Market is best visited at weekends, when its thousands of stalls are open. The Grand Palace and Wat Arun, the riverside temple with its tall, tiered prang, are in the old city, a longer journey from the hotel.

A good day could start at Jim Thompson House, continue to Siam for shopping and lunch, and end with a visit to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 21.2 km away, and evenings in the Sukhumvit area are lively, with street food stalls and bars close to the hotel.
