Theatre Residence

The rooms at Theatre Residence run from a family room and king rooms to river-view suites, including a 55 m² Lilit Grand Suite for up to four guests. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms, and several rooms have a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, bathrobes and a hair dryer.

Some rooms have river views, others city or pool views. Beds are single, double or king, a sofa bed is available in one suite, and the family room offers a choice of bed set-ups.

Theatre Residence sits on the Thonburi bank of the Chao Phraya River, in the Siriraj area of Bangkok Noi. The riverside here is lined with temples, a hospital campus and small local markets, and the old city lies on the opposite bank, reached by river boat.

Wat Rakhang Kositaram, a riverside temple, stands on the same bank. Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is 1.1 km away on the same bank, while the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha are 700 m away across the river, and Khaosan Road, the backpacker street, lies across the river too. Chao Phraya boats stop at the Wang Lang, Tha Chang and Maharaj piers, and Thonburi Station is nearby.

A good day could combine a river boat across to the Grand Palace complex with a stroll through Wang Lang Market and a visit to the Siriraj Medical Museum. For arrivals by air, Don Mueang International Airport is 21.9 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 29.4 km, so a transfer into the centre is the next step after landing. Several small museums are nearby, including the Siriraj Medical Museum and the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles, both within a few hundred metres of the hotel. The river is the main way to move between the two banks, so the piers are central to any day out.
