The Taksim Patong Beach Hotel

The rooms measure 25 to 28 m² and every one has air conditioning, a private bathroom with a shower, toiletries, towels, an electric kettle, a hair dryer, a flat-screen TV and satellite and cable channels.

Beds are double, queen, king or single: there are double rooms with a queen or king bed, twin rooms with two single beds, and a triple room with three single beds for up to three guests. A double room with a king bed and a sea view is also available.

Patong is Phuket's best-known beach resort, a busy mix of sand, restaurants, bars and shops. The Taksim Patong Beach Hotel is 50 m from Patong Beach, on Thawewong Road, so the sand is close by, and the lively centre of the resort is around it. The resort is busiest after dark, when its bars and restaurants fill the main roads.

Bangla Road, the street of bars and nightclubs, is 200 m away, and the Jungceylon Shopping Center, with its shops and restaurants, is close by. Freedom Beach, a small secluded beach with a quiet atmosphere, is 2.9 km away, and Big Buddha Phuket, the large Buddha statue that is a landmark of the island, is 7.6 km away. A clinic and an ATM are also nearby for practical needs.

A full day could take in the beaches of the area, a walk through the night markets and a visit to Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 6.9 km away, one of Phuket's most important Buddhist temples. An evening at the Phuket FantaSea theme park, with its cultural show, is another way to spend the night. The beaches, the bars and the temples make a full range of days, from a lively night on Bangla Road to a quieter morning at a Buddhist temple.
