The Taksim Bangla Beach Hotel

Rooms at The Taksim Bangla Beach Hotel have air conditioning, blackout curtains, satellite or cable TV and an electric kettle, and most have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. Most rooms measure 25 m², and the Deluxe Triple Room is 28 m². Several rooms face the sea, and the Deluxe Double looks out to the beach.

Bangla Road is 200 m away, the street of bars, clubs and street-food stalls that makes Patong lively after dark. Kalim Beach is a quieter stretch of sand a little further along the coast, and Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), 6.9 km away, is one of the most important Buddhist temples on the island. The Big Buddha, 7.6 km away, is a large white statue on a hilltop. The Jungceylon Shopping Center is also close, and the night market is in the same part of town.

A full day could start with the sand at Patong Beach, move to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha in the afternoon, and end with a drink on Bangla Road. For a slower morning, the quieter beaches a little way down the coast make an easy choice. Phuket International Airport is 24.3 km away, and the trip into town is made by road, as Phuket is joined to the mainland by a bridge.
