The Sunshine hostel and hotel

Every room at The Sunshine hostel and hotel has air conditioning. The private rooms include a 40 m² double with a king bed, a balcony and a mountain view, a 35 m² double with a king bed, and a standard twin room with two single beds, and the two king-bed rooms have a shower, toiletries and towels.

Two 60 m² dormitory rooms, one for women and one for men, offer a bunk bed for one guest each and shared bathrooms, while the twin and double rooms have their own private bathroom.

Activities such as canoeing, diving, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and snorkelling are offered, along with tours, bicycles and car hire. The property also offers an airport transfer and a shuttle service.

Pra Ae is a village area on Koh Lanta, the island in Krabi province on the Andaman Sea, and the hostel sits here, close to Long Beach. The area mixes village roads and small local businesses with the sandy shoreline of Long Beach, so it is a practical base for seeing the island's beaches, parks and markets, with bicycles available at the property for getting around the local area.

Klong Dao Beach is 1.1 km away, and the Monday Market, held on Mondays, is 1.2 km away. Sala Dan Pier, the ferry terminal at Ban Sala Dan, is 3.8 km away and is where boats from the mainland arrive. Mu Ko Lanta National Park, 17.7 km away, protects forest and marine areas around the island, and Krabi International Airport is 54 km away on the mainland, so the last stage of the journey is by ferry.

A day could start on Long Beach and continue to Klong Dao Beach, with the Monday Market on Mondays for local food and shopping. For a longer outing, Mu Ko Lanta National Park gives access to forest and marine areas, and the property offers bicycles and car hire for getting around the rest of the island.
