The Charoen Nakhon BTS Station is 400 m away, and Taksin Pier, for river boats, is a little farther along the bank. Wat Arun stands on the same bank of the river, 3 km away, while the Grand Palace is across the water at 3.4 km. Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex, is 2.2 km off, and the Phraphuttha Suwan pagoda is closer than all of them. Bang Rak Market is a short stroll from the pier for everyday shopping.

A good day here could begin at Wat Arun in the morning, then cross the river to the Grand Palace in the afternoon. Asiatique makes a relaxed end to the day, with its riverside shops and restaurants, and the boats back along the Chao Phraya are a pleasant way to finish.
