The Sathon Vimanda Hotel

Suan Phlu Market is close by, while the Chatuchak Weekend Market, the large weekend market in the north of the city, is much further away.

Lumphini MRT station is 1.1 km away and Chong Nonsi BTS station is 1.2 km, so the metro and skytrain are the simplest way to reach the rest of the city. Jim Thompson House, the teak house museum of the American silk entrepreneur, is 3.7 km away, and Asiatique The Riverfront, a shopping and dining complex on the Chao Phraya, is 4.1 km. Wat Arun, a riverside temple on the Chao Phraya, and the Grand Palace, the former royal complex in the old city, are the historic sights of central Bangkok.

A good day could start at Jim Thompson House, continue to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, and end with an evening on Khaosan Road, the backpacker street in the old city. Returning to Sathorn is easiest by metro or skytrain from the stations nearby.
