Walking along the riverside is a pleasant way to spend an evening with the Chao Phraya in view.

Asiatique The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex, is 600 m away, and Saphan Taksin BTS Station is 1.4 km away for travel across the city by Skytrain. Wat Arun, with its tall tower, stands on the far bank of the river, 4.3 km away, and The Grand Palace, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in its grounds, is 4.9 km away. Wat Phra Chetuphon, known for its reclining Buddha, is also close by.

A full day could start at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, continue to Wat Pho and the Jim Thompson House, a teak-built house museum, and end with an evening at Asiatique, where the riverside shops and the ferris wheel are the main draw. Khaosan Road, 5.7 km away, is the lively street for a later evening, with bars and street food.
