The Southern Bus Terminal, 3.4 km away, is the place to catch buses to southern Thailand. The railway station and the bus terminal are both within a few kilometres of the hotel. The Grand Palace, 8.1 km away, and Wat Arun, across the river from it, are the classic sights of the old city, while Don Mueang International Airport is 20.1 km away.

A day could start at the Wat Yang Pa pagoda and continue into the old city to see the Grand Palace and Wat Arun. For shopping, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is a further trip, best done at the weekend, when the market is open.
