The Raya Surawong Hotel

Jim Thompson House, a museum of Thai silk in a traditional teak house, is 2.1 km away, and the Siam Paragon shopping centre is 1.8 km away.

A good day out begins at the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, in the old city, then continues across the river to Wat Arun on the far bank of the Chao Phraya. In the evening, the night market and the bars around Patpong make the most of the area's nightlife. For a weekend morning, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is a larger outing across the city.
