Wutthakat BTS station is a short walk from the hotel and connects the area to the wider city. Crossing the Chao Phraya is the main route between Thonburi and the old city, and travellers who want to explore the temples and canals on foot can do so from here, with boats running along the river.

A good day could begin at Wat Arun, with its tall, tiered spire, and then cross the river to the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha. The Museum of Siam, in the old city, is another stop for the afternoon, and in the evening Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside shopping and dining complex, is 4 km away.
