The Ratchathewi BTS station is 200 m away, on the Sukhumvit line that runs through Siam and Phaya Thai to the rest of the city. Jim Thompson House, the former home of the American silk entrepreneur, is 500 m from the hotel, and the Siam Paragon mall is 850 m away. Siam Paragon also houses the Sea Life Bangkok Ocean World aquarium. The Grand Palace is 4.3 km away, and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 24.8 km away.

A day could begin with a walk to the Ban Krua community, a neighbourhood known for silk weaving, and then continue to the temples beside the Grand Palace. Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in the city, is a trip across Bangkok, and the Asiatique riverfront complex on the Chao Phraya makes an easy evening outing, with restaurants and shops along the water.
