The Proud Rawai Resort

The Proud Rawai Resort offers apartments and suites in several sizes, from a 37 m² deluxe room to 70 m² two-bedroom suites. Several rooms have a city view, and one suite sleeps up to six guests. Beds vary by room, with king-size beds in several apartments and a choice of single beds or a sofa bed in others.

Rooms can have a balcony or terrace, a refrigerator, a hair dryer and individual air conditioning. Rooms with a private bathroom come with toiletries, towels and bathrobes, and some rooms have a microwave, a desk or a sofa. Some rooms also have a separate living room, and a few have a bathtub.

Guests have an outdoor swimming pool, restaurants, a bar and a nightclub, and a golf course on site. A buffet breakfast and a coffee shop are available, and a kids club and kids meals cater to younger guests. The restaurants serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with à la carte dishes, salads and soups, and a breakfast takeaway service is also offered.

The front desk is open 24 hours, with luggage storage and safety deposit boxes. Daily housekeeping, meeting and banquet facilities, a salon and a terrace are also available, and some rooms are soundproofed.

Rawai is a fishing village at the southern tip of Phuket, with fishing boats along its shore and small seafood restaurants on the road that runs behind the beach. The Proud Rawai Resort is a short walk from Rawai Beach, and the neighbourhood feels more local than the island's busiest beach towns, which suits guests who want to spend their evenings away from the main nightlife.

Nai Harn Beach, a sheltered bay, is 1.3 km away, and the Big Buddha stands on a hill 6.2 km from the hotel. Wat Chalong, one of Phuket's most revered temples, is 8.6 km away, and Patong, the island's best-known beach resort, lies 13 km away. Phuket International Airport is 37.7 km from the hotel, and the island's roads make a car or taxi the easiest way to reach the sights.

A good day can start with a walk along Rawai Beach and a visit to the fish market, then a drive to Wat Chalong and the Big Buddha in the hills. Fresh seafood from the Rawai fish market makes a simple lunch, and Nai Harn Beach is a calm afternoon stop after the temple visit. The Phuket Seashell Museum is close by for a quieter stop between the beaches.
