The Pool Resort

The rooms at The Pool Resort include a 20 m² twin room with two single beds, standard and deluxe doubles, and 58 m² deluxe and family rooms. Several rooms sleep up to three guests, and several have a pool view. The outdoor swimming pool and garden are shared facilities across the resort.

Several rooms have a private bathroom, and some have a bathtub or a whirlpool bathtub. Toiletries, towels and hair dryers come with several bathrooms, and free bottled water is provided in some rooms. Air conditioning, a desk and a telephone are found in some rooms, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

The Pool Resort has an outdoor swimming pool, a hot tub, a garden and a terrace on site, and the 24-hour front desk is open round the clock. Guests can leave luggage in storage, and private check-in and check-out are offered, with a shuttle service and an airport transfer also available.

Daily housekeeping, laundry, dry cleaning and ironing are all available, and breakfast can be served in the room. Free parking is available on site, and there is also parking nearby. There are BBQ facilities for guests who want to cook outdoors.

Internet services are available, and the resort is wheelchair accessible. Satellite and cable channels are also among the in-room entertainment.

The Pool Resort is on Rama IX Road in the Ramkhamhaeng district of Bangkok, an area of wide roads, universities and local neighbourhoods rather than the historic sights. For many travellers it is a practical base for flights, and the pool and garden on site mean the resort is a place to spend time as well as sleep. Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital and the Assumption University Hua Mak Campus are also in the neighbourhood, so everyday needs are covered close by.

Hua Mak train station is 950 m away and Hua Mak MRT station is 1.2 km, so the metro and trains are an option for shorter journeys. Within the neighbourhood there is Wat Ban Thung Seri pagoda, the Piyapirom Park green space and the Pattanakarn Market, a local market for everyday shopping. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 14.1 km away, and the Grand Palace, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in its grounds, is 15.2 km away.

A full day in central Bangkok could start at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun on the river, then continue to Khaosan Road, known for its street life. Chatuchak Weekend Market and Jim Thompson House are further from the resort, and most trips into the centre are best made by taxi or ride-hailing.
