The Pavilion Place

The rooms at The Pavilion Place have air conditioning and satellite or cable TV, and most of them look out over the city. The choice runs from the Standard Double Room, with its balcony or terrace, to the Deluxe Junior, which has a bathtub and a seating area.

Some rooms have a seating area, and the Superior Double or Twin room and the Standard Double Room both have a balcony or terrace. The Superior Double or Twin room has two single beds and a queen bed. The Triple - 3 Single Beds room has a street view and three single beds. The Deluxe room measures 48 m² and sleeps up to four guests on two queen beds.

The streets around the hotel stay busy into the evening, when the Patpong Night Market draws crowds, so the area keeps a lively feel after dark. Silom is also well served by public transport, with the skytrain and the metro both close by, so getting across the city is straightforward.

Sala Daeng BTS station is 300 m from the hotel and Sam Yan MRT station is nearby too, so both the skytrain and the underground are close at hand. The Patpong Night Market is 100 m away, and the Thai Red Cross Museum, which covers the history of the Thai Red Cross Society, is 250 m from the hotel. For the temples and palaces of the old city, The Grand Palace and Wat Arun are both 4.9 km away, and the Grand Palace contains the Temple of the Emerald Buddha.

A full day could begin at the Grand Palace and Wat Arun, then continue to Jim Thompson House, the teak home of the American silk entrepreneur, 2.2 km from the hotel, before returning to Silom for the evening. The night market at Patpong makes a natural end to the day, since it is close to the hotel.
