The Old Times Lanta

Every room at The Old Times Lanta is air-conditioned. The Standard Room measures 18 m² and has a double bed, and the Superior Room measures 20 m² and has a king bed.

Both rooms come with a shower, toiletries and a hair dryer, and both sleep up to two guests. The rooms are non-smoking, and the Superior Room comes with free bottled water.

The hotel has a restaurant, a bar, a coffee shop, room service and a shared kitchen, and it offers barbecue facilities and a continental breakfast. A 24-hour front desk is on site, and the hotel offers daily housekeeping and laundry service.

The Old Times Lanta is in the Old Town area of Koh Lanta, on Sriraya Road, a short walk from the pier where boats arrive from the mainland. Koh Lanta is an island with no bridge, so the sea is part of every journey here. Once on the island, the old town streets are the easiest place to walk from, and the caves, the national park and the beaches are all day trips from here. The local streets, the temple and the shops of the old town are all close by.

Within a short walk are Lanta Old Town and the Koh Lanta Temple, about 500 m away. The Maha Katyayana Shrine is about 100 m away. Further afield, Khao Mai Kaew Cave, a limestone cave, is 2.5 km away, and Mu Ko Lanta National Park, which covers much of the surrounding archipelago, is 7 km away. Long Beach, Koh Lanta, is a long sandy beach 9.7 km away.

A good day out is to visit the cave in the morning and then head to the beach for a swim. The national park is a full-day option for those who want to go further. Boats to and from the mainland can be disrupted when the sea is rough, which is more common in the rainy season, so it is worth allowing some flexibility on travel days.
