The Grand Palace is 1.2 km from the hotel, with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha beside it, and Wat Pho, with its large reclining Buddha, lies a short distance further on. Wat Arun stands across the Chao Phraya river and is reached by boat from the riverside piers. Sam Yot MRT station and Wang Burapha train station are both close by, and Don Mueang airport is 20.7 km away, while Suvarnabhumi is further out. For weekend shopping, the Chatuchak Weekend Market is 7.1 km away and makes a longer trip.

A first day could begin at the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, cross the river to Wat Arun and continue to the Bangkok National Museum, which is 700 m from the hotel. Khaosan Road itself makes a good place to end the day, since the hotel is on the street and the evening street life is close at hand.
