The Moken Eco Village

All the bungalows at The Moken Eco Village have a balcony or terrace, a fan, a mosquito net, a desk, towels, toiletries and bathrobes, and free bottled water. Floor areas run from 22 m² to 70 m², so the bungalows range from smaller rooms for two guests to a family bungalow for up to six.

The Standard Bungalow and the Wooden Bungalow each have a king bed. The Family Bungalow measures 70 m² and has a private bathroom and a closet. Most of the bungalows have a private entrance, and the rooms sit within the resort's garden grounds, close to the sea.

The resort's facilities start with a private beach and a garden, and there is a restaurant, a bar, a coffee shop and a kitchen, with breakfast in Asian, buffet and continental styles. An airport transfer, a shuttle service and a taxi service are offered, and parking on site is free.

For activities there is a spa and sauna with massage, and canoeing, diving, fishing, snorkelling and tours are offered. A library, a terrace and a gift and souvenir shop are also on the grounds.

Practical services include luggage storage, safety deposit boxes, daily housekeeping and laundry service, and a kids meal is offered. Internet access is available, with WiFi in public areas.

Koh Phra Thong is an island off the coast of Phang Nga province in southern Thailand, with beaches, national park land and small villages. The Moken Eco Village sits on the island's coast, with the sea and the national park land close by, and the resort's own beach and garden make up the grounds.

Ko Pling Beach is the closest, about 400 m away, and Golden Buddha Beach is 1.1 km from the resort. The hilltop viewpoint at Hornbill Hill is 950 m away, and Mu Ko Ra - Ko Phra Thong National Park, 9.1 km away, protects the surrounding islands and their waters. Further along the coast are the ruins at Ban Ko Rak and the beach at Ao Ku Ning.

The last stretch of the journey is by boat, and the pier at Kuraburi on the mainland is one of the places nearby. A good day here can combine a swim at Ko Pling Beach with the climb to Hornbill Hill, and the resort's own tours and snorkelling trips take in the coast around the island. Visitors who want a longer outing can head for the ruins at Ban Ko Rak or the beach at Ao Ku Ning, both further along the coast, before returning to the resort in the afternoon.
