Wat Mangkon MRT station is 200 m away, so the metro is easy to reach on foot. Wat Chaiyaphummikaram, a pagoda in the street grid, is 100 m away, and Wat Traimit, which houses the Golden Buddha, is 450 m away. The Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew are 2.3 km away. Sawatdi Pier, a ferry terminal on the river, is also nearby for trips along the Chao Phraya.

A day in the area can start with the Golden Buddha at Wat Traimit, then continue to the Grand Palace, where the Emerald Buddha is housed in Wat Phra Kaew. Back in Chinatown, Yaowarat Road is worth an evening walk for its food stalls and shrines. Chatuchak Weekend Market is further away, a trip better planned for a separate day.
