Phatthanakan Road runs through the Suan Luang area on the eastern side of Bangkok, a residential and commercial district well away from the riverside temples and the old city. It works well for travellers who want to be close to the airport line without staying in the old city. Everyday shops and local eateries line the streets nearby, while the main sights are a longer journey across the city.

Hua Mak station on the Airport Rail Link is 2.2 km from the hotel, and Nirvana Beyond Garden is 950 m away. Further afield, Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest weekend markets in Bangkok, is 10.4 km away, while the Siam Paragon shopping centre sits in the Siam area. Little Zoo Garden Capybara Cafe, with its capybaras, is 2.8 km away.

A day out could start at Chatuchak Weekend Market and continue to the old city, where the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha sit inside the same complex, while Wat Arun on the river is another classic visit, and the riverside temples are easiest to see on a full day trip. Suvarnabhumi Airport, 15 km away, is the main international gateway, so the Airport Rail Link is a useful connection for arrivals.
