The Lake Guest house

Accommodation at The Lake Guest house includes a Three-Bedroom House that sleeps up to eight guests, a 120 m² home with a garden view, and a room for up to three guests with air conditioning. The Three-Bedroom House and the home both offer a choice of bed set-ups, so the sleeping arrangement can be adapted to your group.

Rooms can be fitted with air conditioning, a fan, a hair dryer, an electric kettle, a coffee/tea maker, a refrigerator and a microwave, and some have a full kitchen. Towels and linens are provided.

The grounds include a garden and a terrace, and the property has free parking and free WiFi in all rooms. The public areas have air conditioning, and ceiling or portable fans are available.

The kitchen facilities cover dishes and dining utensils, a freezer, a microwave, an oven, a refrigerator and a stove, along with kitchen basics such as cookware, oils and condiments. Free bottled water and free instant coffee are also provided in the rooms.

The Lake Guest house is on Tiwanon 39 in the Chaeng Watthana area of northern Bangkok, close to the border with Nonthaburi province, where the Muang Thong Thani complex and its lake sit. The surroundings are mostly residential, with small temples and local markets rather than the big sights of the old city.

Lake Muang Thong Thani, 250 m away, is the nearest notable spot, and Si Rat MRT Station, 2.3 km away, gives access to the metro network. Don Mueang International Airport, 6.3 km away, handles many budget flights and is the closest airport to the guest house. Residential streets and the open water of the lake give the neighbourhood a calmer feel than central Bangkok.

The Grand Palace is 19.9 km away, and it pairs well with a visit to Wat Arun for a full day in the old city. Wat Arun sits on the opposite bank of the Chao Phraya from the palace, so the two can be seen in one day. Chatuchak Weekend Market, 13.5 km away, is a large weekend market with shopping and street food, and its stalls are a good way to spend a weekend morning among the crowds of local visitors, who come for the bargains as much as the food.
