Chatuchak Weekend Market, 3.4 km away, is one of Bangkok's largest markets and is busiest at weekends, while the Grand Palace, 7.8 km away in the old city, is the best-known royal site in the city.

A full day could start at the Chatuchak market on a weekend morning and continue with the Grand Palace and Wat Arun in the afternoon.
