The Gravitique Hotel Khaosan

The rooms measure 17 to 21 m² and sleep up to three guests. Beds include queen and king beds, and two single beds are offered in one of the rooms.

Some rooms have a sea view and others a street view, and one room has a balcony. Several come with a private bathroom, a hair dryer, an electric kettle and wireless internet access, with bathrobes and towels in the bathroom.

Khao San Road, 200 m from the hotel, is the area's best-known street: a busy row of guesthouses, bars and street-food stalls that stays lively late into the night. The Sam Yot MRT station is nearby, and the neighbourhood is a practical starting point for the old city's temples and the river.

The Grand Palace is 1.4 km away, and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Wat Phra Kaew, sits inside its walls. Wat Pho, the temple of the reclining Buddha, is 1.7 km from the hotel, and Wat Arun, on the far bank of the Chao Phraya, is 2.1 km away. The Jim Thompson House, a teak house museum, lies further out, and Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in Bangkok, is 7 km away.

A day could begin at the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, continue to Wat Pho, and finish on Khao San Road as the evening starts. The Phra Arthit pier on the Chao Phraya is a short walk from the hotel, so river boats offer an easy way to reach the temples on the far bank.
