The Grand Sathorn Hotel

Saphan Taksin BTS station is 300 m from the hotel, and the Skytrain reaches much of the city from there. A ferry pier at Sathon is a short walk away, on the Chao Phraya river. Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn, is 4.1 km from the hotel, and the Grand Palace with the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is 4.4 km away. Asiatique, a riverside night market and dining complex, is also nearby, and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, 9.6 km away, is worth the trip at weekends.

A good day starts with the Skytrain to Saphan Taksin, then a boat along the river to the Temple of Dawn and the Grand Palace, and the evening can end at Asiatique by the water. Between the two, the Chao Phraya river is the easiest way to move around the old city. Suvarnabhumi Airport is 25.4 km away.
