The main sights are a longer ride away. Chatuchak Weekend Market is 8.6 km from the hotel, a large weekend market with food stalls and clothing stands. The Grand Palace is 14.3 km away, with Wat Arun on the far bank of the river opposite it, and the temples of the old city are close together. Khaosan Road and Jim Thompson House are also in the central part of Bangkok, further south than the hotel.

A day could start at the Chatuchak Weekend Market, then head to the Grand Palace and Wat Arun in the old city, and end with a walk along the river at Asiatique - The Riverfront, which is 14.8 km away. Coming back to the hotel is easiest by metro from Mahat Thai, and the taxi service can take you the rest of the way.
