Koh Kret, an island in the Chao Phraya river known for its pottery and its Mon community, makes a full day out. For flights, Don Mueang International Airport is 22.4 km away and Suvarnabhumi Airport is 40 km away, and both are reachable by road. The temples of central Nonthaburi and the river are the natural next stops for a visit to the area.
