The Fisherman's Chalet

The rooms at The Fisherman's Chalet measure between 54 and 65 m² and all have air conditioning. Each one has a private bathroom with a shower and a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms. Beds range from a king bed to a single bed combined with a king or queen bed.

Views are of the garden, the pool or the sea, and depending on the room, up to two or three guests can stay. The on-site spa, pools and restaurants all belong to the same property, so the rooms sit within the hotel's own grounds with everything close at hand.

The surroundings are a village area of houses, small temples and local markets, a quieter setting away from the busiest beach stretches, with the island's beaches and sights still a few kilometres away.

Natien Beach is the nearest beach, 1.3 km away, and Lamai Beach, a lively stretch with a Sunday night market, lies further along the island. Buddha’s Footprint Temple, a pagoda built around a Buddha footprint, is also 1.3 km away, and the Hua Thanon Wet Market sits 2.2 km off for fresh food and local produce. Other nearby stops include Magic Alambic Rum Distillery, the Hin Ta & Hin Yai Rocks, known as the Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks, and Big Buddha, a large statue 17 km away. Samui Airport is 14.7 km away.

Laem Sor Pagoda and the Samui Butterfly Garden are a few hundred metres from the hotel and make a good first stop. The Samui Aquarium and Tiger Zoo, a little further on, is a good choice for the morning. A longer day could take in Buddha’s Footprint Temple, the Hua Thanon Wet Market, the rocks and the rum distillery, with an evening at Lamai Beach.
