The Duchess Hotel

Siam Paragon, a large shopping mall, is 1.3 km away, and Jim Thompson House, a traditional Thai house museum with a collection of Thai silk, is 2 km away. Erawan Shrine, a Hindu shrine at the Ratchaprasong intersection, is nearer than any of them. The Grand Palace is 5.7 km away and is reached by taxi.

A good way to spend a day is to start with a walk through Lumphini Park, then take the Skytrain to Siam for shopping. Jim Thompson House makes a quieter stop, and the Grand Palace, a royal complex that includes the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, is reached by taxi from the hotel.
