Patong Beach is 350 m away, a long sandy beach lined with hotels and restaurants. Jungceylon Shopping Center, 250 m away, has shops and restaurants under one roof, and Bangla Road, a strip of bars and clubs that comes alive at night, is a short walk too. The night market and Banzaan Fresh Market are within a few hundred metres, the first with street-food stalls and souvenirs, the second with fresh produce and food. Further out, the Big Buddha, a large statue on a hilltop, is 7.6 km away, and Phuket International Airport is 24.1 km away.

A good day starts with a swim at Patong Beach, continues with a visit to the Big Buddha, and ends with dinner at the night market. Chaithararam Temple (Wat Chalong), one of the island's most important temples, is also worth a visit on the same day.
