The CK Hostel

Accommodation at The CK Hostel ranges from a dorm with 14 bunk beds to private rooms with a king bed for up to two guests. Air conditioning is available in all rooms, and the dorm has a shared bathroom.

The private rooms each have a private bathroom with a shower and toiletries. The Standard Loft has a street view, and the Basic King has its own private entrance. Both private rooms include a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

The hostel's facilities centre on food and drink, with a bar, restaurants and a BBQ area, and a breakfast service is also offered.

Guests can use free Wi-Fi in all rooms, with wired internet and Wi-Fi in the public areas. A shuttle service and a taxi service are offered, and tours can be arranged. Hiking is also offered at the hostel.

For day-to-day needs there is daily housekeeping, laundry service and dry cleaning, along with express and private check-in and check-out, cash withdrawal and a doctor or nurse on call. A nightclub is on site, a kids' meal is offered, and the hostel also has a children's swimming pool for younger guests.

Sairee Beach is the main beach area of Ko Tao, a small island in the Gulf of Thailand that can only be reached by boat. The hostel sits in the beach strip, where dive schools and a row of restaurants line the road behind the sand. Diving and snorkelling are the island's best-known pursuits, and Sairee is where many of the dive schools are based.

Haad Sairee (400 m) and Ao Hat Sai Ri (550 m) are the nearest bays on the shore. Inland and close by, the Pagoda and the monument to King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) are landmarks of the island. The Top of the rock viewpoint, 1.2 km away, is one of the island's viewpoints, and the Welcome to Koh Tao Turtle Monument stands 1.8 km away.

A good first outing is the Top of the rock viewpoint, followed by an afternoon on Sairee Beach. Day trips to Koh Nang Yuan, a small island off the coast, are a popular way to snorkel from the island. Back on Sairee Beach, the dive schools and restaurants are a short walk from the hostel, and the evening stretch of the beach road is where most of the island's street life gathers.
