Siam Charoen Nakhon Pier, a riverside pier for boat trips, is 2.7 km away, and Asiatique - The Riverfront, a riverside complex of shops and open-air dining, is 3.9 km away. Across the river, Wat Arun is a temple on the opposite bank, and The Grand Palace is 7.7 km away.

Two train stations, Wat Sai and Chom Thong, are nearby, and with free parking on site, a car or taxi is the practical way to reach central Bangkok. A good day could start at the Wat Sai floating market, continue to the temples on the opposite bank, and end at Asiatique by the river in the evening.
